Bevis is a Melbourne-born banker turned angel investor, turned property entrepreneur, turned full-time hustler identifying fresh talent & investment opportunities. Bevis founded The Hacker Exchange out of a desire to support next-gen talent and build global connections. He’s based in San Francisco, US, is a startup advisor, and always happy to meet new folks.


Jeanette Cheah


HEX Chief Strategy Officer, Jeanette, is a Hawaiian-born marketer, strategist, and diversity advocate dedicated to community building and spreading the HEX message. With a background in financial services, energy and education, Jeanette is an accomplished keynote speaker and consumer of cheese. She’s based in Melbourne, Australia, but is often elsewhere.

Chris is a Californian-born international higher education expert making life easier for our university and corporate partners. A resident of Australia, the US and Canada, Chris is passionate about evolution of education, professional development and international experiences. He’s currently based in Adelaide, South Australia, which is a great base to pursue his qualifications in wine appreciation (no, really).


Jaclyn Benstead


Jac is a tertiary education maven with experience across the UK, Australia, Japan and Canada. Now based in Melbourne. Jac leads student program experience design and academic alignment. Jac is also an e-commerce entrepreneur. She’s into drumming, craft beer and she’s been briefly famous on Reddit for her product, Cat Camp.



Katie Abbott

Marketing Champion

Katie is a HEX 1.0 alum, people person & lover of all things social media, french bulldogs and marketing. She is the heart and soul of the HEX team and a respected Peer Mentor.


Dominic Alvaro

Community Manager

Dom is a HEX 1.1 alum with a computer science background. When he’s not working, Dom is a gamer, drummer and a bone fide rock star with his band MDRN LOVE.



Matthew Kwong

Business Development Coordinator

HEX 1.3 alum, Matt, is a jack-of-all-trades and master of everything. Co-founder of Charity Tap and on the Unihack organising team, Matt is passionate about creating positive social impact through business and design.
